What is the difference between CoolPeel® and traditional CO₂ laser treatments?
CoolPeel® is a lighter CO₂ treatment that rejuvenates the outer layers of skin with minimal downtime. Traditional CO₂ resurfacing, like Tetra CO₂, reaches deeper into the dermis for more dramatic correction of wrinkles, scars and laxity.
Is the CO2 laser facelift safe?
The Cartessa Tetra Pro CO₂ system lets your provider fully customize energy, pulse and depth, so each treatment is precisely controlled for safety and comfort, with less heat and shorter recovery than older CO₂ lasers.
How much downtime should I expect?
CoolPeel® usually means 1–3 days of mild redness and flaking. Deeper Tetra CO₂ resurfacing may need 5–10 days of recovery.
How soon will I see results?
You'll notice a refreshed glow within about a week as your skin heals. Full results develop over the following months as new collagen and elastin form.
Is it suitable for all skin types?
The CO₂ laser is best for lighter skin tones (Fitzpatrick I–III). For darker complexions, we offer other options such as microneedling and chemical peels. Your provider will help you choose the safest option for your skin.
